Contests are an important element of Facebook marketing and when they’re properly promoted and managed they can be gold.
The problem is that much of the time they are not. All too often contests turn up in my Facebook Newsfeed asking me to “Like and Share to win an iPad”, regardless of the fact that this breaches Facebook’s terms and conditions and, depending on the country, is illegal.
