Pinterest Testing Out New Site Design

Pinterest have announced that they’ve made some design changes to the site, and are now in the process of testing the new look with a selected group of users.

The photo sharing site has retained the same look since it launched in 2010, with a few minor changes such as a ‘Popular’ and ‘Gifts’ section and the ability to report spammers and abuse. The new look promises to make the site easier to navigate, include larger images, related pins, and background changes to help the site run faster.

The update also includes pins from the same board and related images on the right hand side, encouraging users to browse the site and linger for longer.

On the Pinterest blog you can sign up to be the first to see these changes, join here. The updates are being tested in the next few weeks and Pinterest will be rolling them out to everyone once they’ve ‘worked out the kinks.’
