MarketMeSuite launched it’s v3 application yesterday, featuring what I think is a game-changing new UI for social media marketing dashboards. If you don’t already know MMS, it’s a desktop application like TweetDeck/Hootsuite etc. but one that’s 100% focused on pro-active marketing.

In addition to all the usual search, reply and scheduling tools you’d expect from a dashboard, MMS offers a geo-location search & reply tool, branded Tweets (“sent from [yourbrand]”) and RSS feed tweeting – which is really handy if you have a life to lead outside of social media. You can basically manage your entire Twitter and Facebook marketing from the app.

What the new version adds is:

  • A really intuitive and configurable new interface
  • Dotted Tweets – the ability to tag, save and assign Tweets to colleagues
  • Facebook signatures – the ability to add a branded link back to your site to all your Facebook comments (very cool)
  • MeSigs – the ability to add a hashtagged signature to your Tweets (for teams using the same Twitter account)

Why game-changing? Well – aside from my usual disclosure that I’m an Advisor of MMS, so I’m evidently biased – I genuinely think this is a huge leap forward for social media marketing dashboards. Previously for MMS (and in other apps) the marketing tools have been tucked away and secondary to the monitoring/viewing panes. In the new MMS these tools – which are really the heart and soul of the application and the reason it’s a paid app, rather than freemium – are highlighted and centre stage.

For business users, this makes perfect sense. Twitter is only just waking up to the value it offers businesses (they’ve now got a whole section on their site dedicated to business) – and it needs applications like MarketMeSuite to blaze the trail in innovative marketing and engagement features in order to realise it’s full potential.

If you haven’t joined yet – check out their “social media marketing dashboard” video for v3 and see what you think. If you hadn’t guessed – I’m a subscriber.
